frequently asked questions

How do I place an order for an item(s) that is shown?
You may place your order directly through our website by utilizing the “add to cart” buttons alongside each item. With each selection you are going to be directed to our verified merchant account through PayPal® a widely recognized leader in transaction security. From there, you may check out or return to our site to continue shopping. When you are ready to process your order use any of the “View Cart” links located throughout our site.
If you prefer to pay with check or money order you may contact us either by email or phone after Clicking Here. Please read the answer to the next question for information regarding our policy for this type of transaction.
What forms of payment are accepted and is my personal information secure?
Accepted forms of website based payment include Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card, American Express and PayPal® Accounts. Michelle Kelly Jewelry is a verified merchant with PayPal® and your transactions are processed through their secure site. This statement from the PayPal® Security Center guarantees that your “information is protected by SSL with an encryption key length of 168 bits (the highest level commercially available).” When paying with a bank card the transaction will show on your statement as either “PayPal MKellyJewel” or “PayPal MichelleKellyJewel” depending on how many characters your bank statement allows. After you process your order, we receive notification from PayPal® that a payment has been received into our account, any special instructions that you may have included, your confirmed shipping address and finally your email so we may contact you with a delivery confirmation number.
If you prefer to pay by check or money order, you may contact us either by email or phone after Clicking Here and we will instruct you on where to mail your payment. Please take note, payment by either of these methods require that your funds to be cleared by our bank prior to shipping, so please allow up to two weeks for this type of purchase to be received.

When and how will my order be shipped?
With the exception of Custom Orders or paid by check or money order transactions, your order will generally be shipped within two business days of receiving payment. We ship with USPS Priority Mail at a flat rate of $4.95 per order. We include at no additional charge insurance and delivery confirmation. Once shipped, you will receive an email from us notifying you that your order has been shipped and provide you with the delivery confirmation number.
Custom Orders which include any of the personalized or school spirit bracelets, upgrading of the beads (i.e. Swarovski® Crystals), re-creation of a design idea or request for reuse of materials, anklets and customized designs all involve a process of consultation and usually acquiring materials to best meet your desires. Although often much sooner, it is best to allow up to one month for such an order to be complete. You will receive a firm quote and often an digital image prototype to view for your approval prior to payment. Once your item is ready to be shipped we will email you an invoice from our verified account with PayPal® for you to process the transaction and ship your jewelry to you as outlined in the previous paragraph.
If your order is a combination of custom and standard items and the delivery estimate provided for the custom piece creates hardship, we will give you the option of splitting the order for an additional shipping fee.
All items are individually wrapped in protective bubble wrap and packaged securely within the USPS mailing box to prevent shifting and damage. If upon receiving your order any damage has occurred, please contact us immediately.
Can I view a larger image of an item?
All of the images shown on Michelle Kelly Jewelry have a “click on the image” zoom tool that you may use to enlarge the image. In addition, all images have been optimized for website viewing. As a result, if you attempt to “save image” to your own computer in order to view it larger than what we are allowing it is going to be highly pixelated. If you would like a very high quality and large digital image file(s) to view prior to making your purchase you may contact us either by email or phone after Clicking Here.

How do I determine the size of a bracelet or anklet that is best for me?
Bracelet: The easiest way to determine your size is to measure a bracelet that you already own by laying it on a flat surface and measuring to the nearest 1/8th inch the distance between the clasp components as illustrated. This measurement can be used on either a toggle bracelet like the one shown or a “lobster claw/spring loaded” clasp. With this method we will use this measurement and adjust the design accordingly. An alternate method of determining your size is to use a flexible measuring tape or string and wrapping it tightly around your wrist, just below the wrist bone, then adding one inch to this measurement for comfortable wearing. If your purchase is a gift for someone whom you are unable to determine wrist size, please refer to the following guideline.

Anklet: To measure for an anklet you can use the same methods for measuring a bracelet as described above. If using a flexible measuring tape or string, wrap tightly either above or below the ankle bone whichever is your preference and add .5 to 1 inch for comfortable wearing.

What if after receiving my jewelry, I find it does not fit right?
Even with careful measuring for custom pieces and/or comparing the measurements listed for an item with a similar item of jewelry that you already own, we understand that sometimes once you try a piece of jewelry on, it may not fit the way you had hoped. It is our desire to make sure all of our customers are happy and comfortable with their Michelle Kelly Jewelry and we are willing to redesign or recreate in order to accommodate your needs. Please contact us immediately by clicking here and let us know what the problem is that you are experiencing and we will consult with you on how we can best rectify it. Please be aware that depending on the nature of the problem and the extent of work or new materials that it may take to correct it, a small fee might be required. This information will be provided to you prior to your shipping the item back to us and if you prefer you will be allowed the option to return the item as outlined in our Return Policy as written below.

How do I care for my jewelry item?
Silver is a metal that will show some tarnishing over time. It is our suggestion to occasionally gently clean and polish with a silver polishing cloth wiping from the center of your item toward the clasp. Chemical dips or tarnish removing pastes can permanently damage gemstones and will remove the oxidation in the crevices of the finely detailed bali beads. To prevent tarnishing, you may store your jewelry in the plastic zip lock bag in which it was shipped.
What should I do if something happens to my jewelry in the future?
Accidents do happen and we can appreciate the disappointment you will feel if your jewelry item breaks. Please, feel free to contact us and we will consult with you on how we can best repair your item. If components have been lost and are no longer available, we can discuss a redesign. It is our desire to satisfy you and keep you wearing Michelle Kelly Jewelry.

What is your return policy?
Although we are confident that once receiving your purchase that you will admire the quality and craftsmanship of your jewelry it is important to us that you, our valued customers are completely satisfied. If you find that you wish to return your jewelry purchase, you must contact us for Return Authorization within 7 business days of having received your order. All returns for credit back to the account you used to make your purchase must be received by us within 10 business days of when we issued you Return Authorization, otherwise no credit or refund will be honored. Original shipping fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the credit amount issued. All returns must be in the same unworn condition as received, include the original invoice and packaging materials and repackaged carefully to prevent damage. Return shipping fees that include insurance for the amount of the purchase in the event of loss or damage, are the responsibility of the customer. If your return is a Custom Designed item that has been created specifically for you, depending on the components used to create the item, there may be a materials fee that will be deducted from the amount of credit issued. An example of this would be a bracelet charm that was specifically requested and approved by you during the “consultation phase” of design that is not marketable to others. If this fee is applicable, it will be disclosed to you with your Return Authorization. No credit or refund will be given on returns received without prior Return Authorization.Contact.htmlContact.htmlContact.htmlContact.htmlshapeimage_4_link_0shapeimage_4_link_1shapeimage_4_link_2shapeimage_4_link_3
